Good preparation makes all the difference. That’s why, in the lead-up to Long Course Weekend Belgium, we’re organising several training sessions together with SwimCare and personal coach Jo Zwaenepoel.
Improve your open water swimming technique, explore the official bike and run courses or join our free webinar for practical tips to help you prepare for race day. This way, you’ll arrive at the start line on 18, 19 and 20 September with more confidence and a well-planned strategygie aan de start.
Open water swim training with SwimCare
Saturday 5 September
Get ready for The PEAKS Nieuwpoort Swim together with SwimCare. During this open water swim training session, you’ll receive practical coaching to help you feel more confident at the start.
The session will focus on open water swimming, technique and practical tips that you can immediately put into practice during Long Course Weekend Belgium.
PEAKS will also be present for a wetsuit introduction and information session.

Explore the bike course with coach Jo
Saturday 5 September – 90 km
Discover the official 90 km Cycle Flanders Fields bike course together with personal coach Jo Zwaenepoel.
During this group course reconnaissance, you’ll get to know the route while receiving practical tips on pacing, nutrition, race strategy and how to manage your effort effectively.
The training takes place at an accessible group pace and is ideal for participants who want to familiarise themselves with the course in advance or are simply looking for a high-quality training session.
Each participant will also receive an up4™ Energy Gel to try during the training.

Explore the half marathon course with coach Jo
Sunday 6 September – 21.1 km
One day later, it’s time to put on your running shoes and explore the official half marathon course of The Nieuwpoort Marathon.
Together with coach Jo Zwaenepoel, you’ll run the course at an accessible group pace. Along the way, you’ll receive practical tips on pacing, running strategy and how to manage your energy throughout the race.
Each participant will also receive an up4™ Energy Gel to try during the training.

Yoga for Sports with Jo Zwaenepoel
Sunday 6 September – 13:00
Move stronger, improve your mobility and recover better. During this 60-minute Yoga for Sports session, personal coach and yoga instructor Jo Zwaenepoel will show you how yoga can be a valuable addition to your training.
The session focuses on mobility, stability, controlled movement, breathing and recovery, specifically tailored to athletes. It is accessible to all levels and no previous yoga experience is required.
The session is a perfect follow-up to the run course recon earlier that morning, but can of course also be booked separately.

Wear comfortable sports clothing. Feel free to bring your own yoga mat, but equipment will also be provided.
